Brittany: This eco-conscious approach allows guests to enjoy their stay without worry,
knowing the lodge's systems are designed for sustainability and resilience.
What challenges did you face during construction, especially with the pandemic?
Brittany: The journey from purchasing in 2014 to welcoming our first guests in 2021 was filled
with hurdles, including a rigorous approval process and supply chain disruptions during the
pandemic. However, these challenges underscored the importance of our flexible design
philosophy.
How do you balance privacy with communal spaces?
Brittany: The lodge offers a seamless blend of private and communal areas, catering to a
diverse range of guests and events. With 10 suites capable of hosting up to 30 people, we've
designed spaces that can adapt to individual or group needs, from intimate gatherings to
large events.
The interior design is breathtaking. How did you achieve synergy between the interior
and exterior?
Brittany: Debra Owens, our designer, selected custom furnishings and materials to ensure
the lodge felt like a luxurious home. From custom cabinetry to hand-curated furniture,
every detail contributes to a sense of harmony and exclusivity. Even more exciting is that
it's an open art gallery because of our partnership with Aspen's Hexton Gallery.

Ryan, can you share the architectural philosophy behind Aspen Street Lodge?
Ryan: Initially a hotel, we envisioned Aspen Street Lodge as a flexible residence, blurring the
lines between commercial and residential design. We focused on creating spaces that could
transition from serving a single family to accommodating corporate groups, emphasizing
flexibility and integrating indoor and outdoor environments.
How did the surroundings influence the lodge's design and sustainability efforts?
Ryan: Our goal was to connect the indoors with the outdoors, incorporating large open walls

The lodge features an eco-filtration system and locally sourced materials, highlighting our
